PERTH JAM LEADS TO 2022 SUMMER JAM
After a really successful launch last year in the summer of 2020/21 the team behind Perth Jam this year are proud to be presenting Summer Jam Perth, Australia's biggest streetball competition founded in Melbourne in 2012. This will be the first time Summer Jam comes to Perth and wouldn't have been possible without the team. This event is set to change the face of street basketball in Perth!
PERTH JAM 2020/21 WAS A HIT ON THE CALENDAR
The first year launching Perth Jam was designed to get a feel for the basketball communities love for streetball, and after the two successful rounds we sure have a great grasp of what the community wants!
2021 was possible due to the amazing team behind the scenes who put the event together, namely Coach Jordan Glossop, Jamal Dialllo and Thomas Adjei from the 1OFF Store, Ian Yong, Jack Foley, DJ Bodie Kelemete and Bailey Gatland. Everyone was super grateful for each and every one of these people for getting behind this amazing event and we are excited to see this team develop and grow in 2021/22.
ROUND ONE 2021 AT WELLINGTON SQUARE
First round of 2021 at Wellington Square in the Perth city centre was awesome. The vibe, the level of play, the music, the local support and crowds was more than we could have hoped for. The brand new court built by the city was fresh and we put it straight to good use. This location will definitely be back on the schedule at some point in the 2021/22 calendar, and yes will be doing it even bigger and better with the City of Perth's support!
ROUND TWO 2021 AT SOUTH BEACH
The location of the court at South Beach in Fremantle has to be one of the very best in Australia. Backed right onto Perth's amazing coast line and nestled amongst some amazing Pine trees right near a local cafe, this location is hard to beat. Round 2 at South Beach saw the players battle it out under the hot sun Perth summer has to offer, but the competition level was high, the music, the vibe and the community support for the event was even better than round one, it was an amazing day and can't wait to be back for this years round at South Beach with some amazing support from the City of Fremantle!
